Ingredients:

  • 9 cups rice chex cereal
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup smooth peanut butter
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 cup peanut butter candy (we like Reese’s Pieces)
  • 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar

Instructions:

Place the cereal into a large bowl. Place the chocolate chips, peanut butter and butter into a smaller microwave bowl. Microwave for 30 seconds and stir, then place in the microwave for 30 more seconds. If your chocolate/peanut butter is still not adequately melted, place into microwave for 10 second intervals until completely smooth and melted.

Add the melted chocolate/peanut butter mixture to the cereal, mix well. Put the 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar into a gallon size ziplock baggie and then add the chocolate/peanut butter coated cereal to the bag and seal. Shake well so that the cereal becomes covered with the powdered sugar. Pour onto parchment paper or wax paper to cool. Once cooled, add the cup of peanut butter candy. Store in airtight container in the fridge.

  • 2 cups ginger ale
  • 1/2 orange cut into slices
  • 1/2 lemon cut into slices
  • ¼ cup of sugar

Instructions:

Pour the red wine into the pitcher. Squeeze the unsliced half of the orange and the lemon into the wine and add the sugar, stir well. Add the sliced fruit into the pitcher and place into the fridge to chill for two hours or overnight. Add the ginger ale before serving. You can add some brandy if you’d like. And to make it spookier, add some floating eyeballs! You decide 🙂
